Rihanna gets diamond necklace

Rihann's rumoured boyfriend Chris Brown has bought her a 0,000 diamond necklace. The 'Umbrella' singer, who has been constantly romantically linked to the R'n'B star and was recently seen kissing him in a KFC fast food restaurant, was thrilled to discover Chris had splashed out on a ruby and diamond necklace from jewellers Jason of Beverly Hills. Jewellery designer Jason Arasheben revealed:'Chris went for the heart theme. He said, 'She's going to love this because she loves hearts.' Rihanna, 20, was so impressed with her sparkling gift that she has ordered a diamond-encrusted cross for 19-year-old Chris from the same jewellers. Jason added to America’s OK! magazine:''Rihanna gave specific instructions about Chris’ gift. She was very particular about wanting the cross to match his other jewellery.' Rihanna was first linked to Chris in February after he attended her 20th birthday. Later that month, the pair enjoyed a romantic holiday in Jamaica and could barely keep their hands off each other while cooling off in a pool. They are also believed to have got matching star tattoos on their necks during their break. Rihanna has previously denied she is dating Chris, insisting he is like a brother to her. She said: "We are best friends, honestly, like brother and sister. I won't say that we're just friends - me and Chris are really best, best friends.' Chris also claimed he has no interest in pursuing a relationship with Rihanna, saying: "People keep asking me, 'What's the deal?' I'm like, 'There's no deal. No deal.' We're just friends.'

Muse planning for next album

Muse are planning to get back in the recording studio and work on a new album. Its been 2 years since they released the phenomenally successful Black Holes and Revelations". The west country threesome have been touring far and wide and will make be performing at this years V festival. They’ve started working on some new ideas but don’t know how the next offering from their already impressive recording collection will turn out. Front man, Matt Bellamy, recently told the NME.COM, "What will come out of that is impossible to say," he declared. "It may just be albums, but it may be a stream of singles, or it may just be one 50-minute symphony, do you know what I mean? Who knows?"

Britney the TV show

Britney Spears is in talks to star in and produce a new TV show. The troubled singer has been meeting with TV executives to discuss possible projects following her recent successful appearances on hit US TV sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother'. A source said: 'Britney met Roy Bank, the president of Merv Griffin Entertainment, on Wednesday (28.05.08). It was a serious meeting and they spoke about various programme ideas ' including a new music show.' The 26-year-old ‘Toxic’ star is attempting to get her career back on track following a difficult period, which included her shaving her head and being hospitalised for mental illness. She received rave reviews for her performance as a ditsy receptionist in the sitcom, and has also reportedly been approached to star as Sandy in a new production of musical 'Grease' on Broadway. Meanwhile, mother-of-two Britney will have to wait a little longer to regain full control of her life. Los Angeles commissioner Reva Goetz ruled yesterday (29.05.08) that Britney's medical and psychological condition is still'“somewhat tenuous' so she will remain under the conservatorship of her father Jamie. After reviewing Britney's condition, Goetz said:'Her medical condition remains the same. Though there have been changes in her medication, I think in terms of her diagnosis, it's not complete.' The singer's condition will be reviewed again on June 17. A trial has been set for July 31 to decide whether Jamie’s conservatorship should be extended or dissolved.

Kaiser Chiefs proud to be produced by Mark Ronson

The Kaiser Chiefs are buzzing at the progress of their latest album. The Leeds lads have almost finished recording the third album and are extremely proud to boast Mark Ronson as producer, along with Eliot James. Apparently, Ronson turned down a lot of big names to work with Ricky Wilson and the boys. Wilson told the Sun newspaper "Our new album is shaping up. I reckon it’s our best stuff yet," he explained. "I played it to our manager the other day, who has known us for over ten years, and a smile just spread across his face as soon as he heard it. He reckons that it’s the best material we have come up with". Wilson also issued a warning to Oasis that they were ',disappearing up their own arses' and that the Chiefs were the band most UK fans wanted to become their successors. And they’re confident their upcoming third album will aid their mission.

Linkin Park's art exhibition

Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda is also an artist, it turns out. Shinoda will present his works at the Japanese American Museum in Los Angeles from July 11. The exhibition follows "a central character through various facets of celebrity life, the exhibition explores the motivations behind contemporary society's fascination with fame, excess and instant gratification: from the unique perspective of an outsider on the inside of rock superstardom". Shinoda will be at the opening night of the exhibition of July 11 between 8 and 10pm. Fans who attend can have their program signed. Mike will follow-up the 'Glorious Excess (Born) exhibition with 'Glorious Excess (Dies) in January 2009.
